Memorial Park Library | Alexander Calhoun Salon1221 2 Street SW Facility Information
Join us at the historic Memorial Park Library branch, sitting at the juncture between old and new Calgary. Built in 1912 with support from the Andrew Carnegie Foundation, it is Calgary's and Alberta's oldest public library, and one of the oldest continuously operating libraries in Western Canada.
Set within the equally historic Central Memorial Park, it is fitting that the park and library are celebrated as "Calgary's Temple of Knowledge: a place to pursue ideas"
All interactions and refreshment breaks will be within the library, or in the surrounding park if weather permits.
